I placed an order for a Greenwood Unity CV2GIP fan from Power Discount LLP, but what I got was a version specifically for Taylor Wimpey, not for my home. There’s a noticeable sticker on the outside that says it’s designed and produced for Taylor Wimpey Plc, and it warns that the warranty is void if installed in properties not associated with them. Plus, the fan is labeled as Taylor Wimpey instead of Greenwood, which is pretty frustrating. This wasn’t made clear at all when I made the purchase.

I reached out to Greenwood, and they advised me not to use the fan and to send it back. They mentioned that sellers shouldn’t be offering Taylor Wimpey-branded Greenwood products to the public, as it would void the warranty. The seller has agreed to take the item back and cover the shipping costs.

To give credit where it’s due, the seller has issued a refund pretty quickly.

I give 5 stars for the service (it showed up the day after I placed my order) and for the price, but only 3 stars for the Manrose item, which isn’t the greatest. I was aware of that when I made the purchase. At least I only forked out £23 for a 10 metre roll of insulated flexible ducting instead of £63 for the same thing at Screwfix!
